About Us
Just-A-Wee-Day "Nursery School" was founded in 1960 in Mendon, Massachusetts offering a Nursery School and Kindergarten Program. In the 1980's Just-A-Wee-Day recognized the needs of families in the area and added extended childcare to the traditional nursery school program. In response to the changing workforce, with parents returning to their careers more quickly after the births of their children, an Infant/Toddler program was established in 1985. The center was moved to Hopedale, where we are currently located, in 2012.
Statement of Philosophy
The philosophy that we share at Just-A-Wee-Day Child Care Center is that children learn when they are in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. Because learning occurs naturally as children play and explore materials, our curriculum activities are process oriented and developmentally appropriate. Children are encouraged to progress at their own pace, participating in activities that interest them as individuals. Our program focuses on the growth of the whole child as a well-rounded individual who is comfortable as a member of our family-like learning community, and ready to take on the challenges that present themselves as he/she grows. All members of Just-A-Wee-Day are equally respected as individuals having their own strengths and talents.
